Im no expert on ratsnakes, but I have a black rat snake that is only 4 months old, and he loves to be held. He has never tried to bite or even strike at me. He is an eating machine. Gulps down 2 pinkies before my pueblan milksnake has the first one down! Maybe I just got lucky and got one with a great personality!
