Also, if you bred the hets to each other to get a leucistic, the leucistic would be a 50/50 hybrid, and not either a bairdi or TX rat. I don't know if leucistics have ever been crossed with bairdi, but my guess is that the Hybrid Forum didn't respond because noone there is interested in this hybrid. My question is, why bother? The gene pool of our beloved ratsnakes are polluted enough. Please don't make it worse w/o a really good reason. Thanks. Terry.
PS:)~~~If you want a really good hybrid project to work on, why not try crossing some corn and/or Great Plains ratsnakes. Although the guttata group has already been worked on a lot, there's still some forms that haven't been included. Corn snake lovers are always looking for new morphs, and/or hybrids~~~(:
