Hi John,
What you describe is probably due to loosened skin around the snakes nostrils. Just keep it warm, don't worry about a humidifier. See if it goes away after the shed before worrying about an infection.

: Ok, for the last few days his skin has looked as if he is ready to go into shed. Usually I wait until I see him hiding for a day or two and then I know he is "blue", then I place a small humidifier next to his tank which creates the right amount of humidity. This has always resulted in perfect sheds. This time, he never hid and has been very active, more than usual the last day or two. This morning I decided to put the humidifier on, thinking maybe he was looking for a wet place. Well, he went right to the top of the tank where the humid air was coming in and hung out there (under the stream of humid air), however, in a minute or so I heard about three "sneezes". His mouth moved, body moved and I heard it, definitely a sneeze. Anyone know what is going on??? Thanks in advance!
