I'm sorry to hear your flavs are giving you a hard time. My hatchlings were very shy and if they saw movement outside their cage (or from a tankmake) they would not eat.... kind of like my adults! I kept each hatchling in a separate shoebox, and gave them a live fuzzy or large pinky. Left them alone overnight and by morning the mouse was gone. None of them were picky eaters, just nervous. I've only had one clutch though, so get a few more opinions on whether or not they are finicky. Maybe I was just lucky?!
