: Looking for any info. on keeping mandarinas in captivity.Substrate,temperature,etc.Any info. helpfull.
I keep mine in a typical rack system. They are in the lowest racks so it is the coolest. I aim for about 75-77 degrees. A few hide spots so they have a choice. I dont try to power feed them due to horror stories ive only heard about. Sometimes i keep a deli cup with moist moss, and a lid with a hole for them to crawl into. And since they are my prize of my collection, i dont handle them at all since i dont want to cause any stress. I dont monitor the humidity (in NY) and it was never a problem. Overall i keep them much like a typical corn with less feeding and warmth
