: Anyone have success getting newly hatched spilotes to feed? mine just sits motionless or climbs to the top of its platic plants. Its in a good set up with a good thermal gradient, plenty of cover, clean water, etc. I wonder if humidity might be a factor. So far I've only tried pink and fuzzy mice.
How are you offering the food to it? The Spilotes I've got (who was 2/3 months old when I got her) is a very reliable feeder, but is a bit particular... live food is eaten immediately, as is thawed prey offered to her on tongs while she's in her hide box, and thawed prey left out in her cage is eaten if I leave her alone with it for a while, but she won't go for anything offered to her on tongs while she's outside of her hidebox...
