To my mind, it is simply change for change's sake.

I don't like it, and I don't see any good reason for it to be foisted upon us. Why throw in new names, and a new system, when the old classification seems to work perfectly well? To which of the new "species" would he assign the Everglades Rat? By what differences would he determine the classification of an intergrade (which, by his classification, would be a hybrid rather than an intergrade)?

For myself, I'll keep the old classification system until I see that everyone else has decided to switch away from it.
