Andrew, I'd love to see a pic of your bairdi, if possible. like i said, its hard to find much info on them, or pics, for that matter.
I caught an adult bairdi 2 years ago.It reared back, swelled up, and was suddenly "not gey" anymore, but red.
It was the middle of the day.
Not knowing about them,I was a bit freaked out, but extremely excited.
When it calmed again it was back to a fairly drab grey-brown color, but since then,I've been fascinated.
I released it the next day.
I'll be in Leakey next weekend and plan on searching the area several nites for a bit of herping fun.
Are you near there?
