Greetings all,
I have been keeping snakes (and scorpions, and a frog and so on and so forth ...) for a couple years and have decided to try my hand at breeding. Since the majority of my snake experience has been within the Elaphe genus, I thought this would be a good place to start. E.o.spiloides has always intrigued me, but I hear that they are tougher to breed than some of the others (like my yellow and deckert's rats, for example). Does anyone have any personal experience with them? Anyone know how tough it really is? Although this would be my first snake breeding project, I do have a biological education and my care so far has resulted only in healthy, happy animals. Think I can pull it off? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Dave
