The following works for me with stubborn neonates.

Take the smallest pinkie you can find and put it and the snake in a small (really small) container (like a yogurt cup). Put the lid on and put the container in a dark warm (85 degrees) spot for an hour or two. Usually, this works. If it doesn't, repeat but take a sharp exacto knife and slit the pinkies head to expose some brain matter. It sounds gross but it works.

If that doesn't work after a couple of weeks, its probably time for the pinkie pump.
