: IF you are asking what percentage of each clutch of black rats hatch, the answer is near 100%, but still less than that. Across the board in captivity with proper incubation procedures, it is almost definitely in the 85-95% range. That is considering JUST fertile eggs.

Do you know if a snake's ability to produce fertile clutches lessens as the snake ages? This question is for both contributors,also does it make a difference if the snake is healthy,and in good flesh?
