There've been several good suggestions here. Also, if whole pinkies are that much of a fight, cut them up. I usually "quartered" pinkies- poke a leg down the throat a ways, then try to get the snake to finish the swallowing (hold mouth shut a moment, then let go of snake). If he refuses to cooperate, just use smaller pieces and push them down into the throat (he should automatically swallow them). Don't worry about stuffing him- you just need to keep him going long enough to "learn to eat" and frequent small meals will raise his metabolism- if he's hungry, he may try it on his own. Good luck, I know it's depressing.
