Uh, as a geneticist, the reason you cannot tell a Leucistic Black rat from a Leucistic Tx or Grey rat is they're the same snake. One is a subspecies, or locality specific example of the other. The black has been known to grow larger than the other two forms, so I guess if this occurs with your "Leucistic Black Rat" then you have a truely leucistic black rat.
Don't flame me with "they look different and therefore are" garbage. Genetically they are the same snake, the way humans are all the same species, regardless of how we look. While you can argue forever weather or not crossing the subspecies should be done, or is an attempt to fool the consumer, the truth is every subspecies if a black rat. So everyone that ever bought any subspecies of black rat was fooled into thinking they were buying something other than a plain old black rat.
