: I've posted many times on this forum about my troubles with my hatchling black rat snake [and rarely gotten an answer - from this forum - but that's not the point].

: Here it is again. I bought a whole bunch of pinkies today, thinking to feed that little butthead through hook or by crook...well...I thawed the smallest one out, heated up to body temp, and left him in with it for half an hour.

: Nothing.

: So I tried tease-feeding for half an hour.

: Nothing.

: At this point, the pinky's belly is torn open, guts are leaking all over his nose [and my fingers...ewwww x 10^24] and he still shows absolutely no interest. I did try to force it down his throat with my fingers, but his throat is just too small; it won't physically go down unless he wants it to go down, and apparently, he don't want it to go down. [sic]

: I left him in with the torn-up pinky for another half hour. If it's not eaten by then, I'll cut it up and FORCE FEED him, but I'd appreciate any comments/advice anyone may make.

: And if you haven't been following the continuing saga, I have tried every other method of temptation - scenting the pinky, leaving him overnight with it, braining it [lol...because brains will make him more hungry than a belly torn open...], etc.
: He's been on adult mouse tails for a while, but I -need- to get him feeding on a full pinky. He hasn't eaten anything more substantial than a tail since...let me check...July 19th of this year, when I purchased him.

: Like I said, comments/advice would be appreciated.

: Life goes on.

i have a hatchling rat snake that i couldnt get to eat for a while like you i couldnt force feed it he would spit it outi had to cut the pinkies into thirds to make it small enough for him to eat and pushed it down his throat with tweesers(don't use a sharp object it could hurt the snake). another trick i tried with another snake and was very successful was to put a small green tree frog in with it, as soon as he saw it he gulped it down. good luck

when all else fails call a vet
