They prefer hopper sized mice as opposed to adults. Tong feeding/teasing will often prompt a strike - patience is necessary as they'll often drop it a few times before eating it.Tap him right on the face or put it up to him then slowly w/draw it. You also might try leaving a thawed hopper up in the fake plants. Keep the cage covered w/a towel at all times - really keeps the stress levels to a minimum and accelerates the acclimitization process. Also, a really jittery hopper buzzing all over the cage will also get them going. Don't mist all that often - direct the spray right onto the face for drinking - too much humidity will lead to upper resp. problems - and they'll often crash and die w/in 48 hrs. You're in for a tough micromanaging ordeal my friend - once I got two good clutches out of my wc adults I now focus entirely on the cb neonates I hatched out. They are as easy as a Corn Snake - though just as nasty as their imported parents. Bill
