The "red-tailed green rat snake" has been imported into Europe and USA quite freely over the past 20 years or so. Imported specimens rarely live for long, as they're w/c and usually heavily parasitized, or suffering from respiratory problems.
If you're being offered a c/b baby, then the above cautionary information doesn't apply. Current price for a c/b hatchling of this species, is in the US$200.00 range.
Clutches usually number three to nine largish eggs, and hatchlings measure 15 to 19 inches. This is a highly arboreal species that more closely resembles a racer than a rat snake. Fast, alert, and very defensive! This species is suitable only for advanced hobbyists, or for zoos.
