Hello again Kristen. This is a strange situation indeed. I have heard of wild snakes not accepting food in captivity, but not accepting it at first and then stop. As far as it stopping because of the late months, that shouldnt matter if the temp. is remained constant (as I know it has from your e-mails). I think it is your call now, monitor her health and force feed if he doesnt accept food on his own, or release her back into the wild and let nature take its course.

: My 22" long WC Tx rat that I have had for 11 weeks has not eaten in six. She ate thawed pinkies and then fuzzies for the first 5 weeks, and has not eaten since. She just shed Monday night, and I first tried feeding her a thawed fuzzy in a separate box that night, and after 1 1/2 hours, I put her back in her cage with the fuzzy and left it all night. Tuesday night I left a thawed fuzzy in her cage all night. Last night I left a thawed fuzzy in her cage for just over an hour. She will crawl around her cage, but avoids the mouse. If she ate thawed before, Is it a matter of time before she will again? She has been checked by the vet last week and has no parasites, and the vet seems to think she is in good condition otherwise. Do I continue to offer thawed fuzzies until she eats, do I offer live, and what if she doesn't eat that? The vet mentioned force feeding. Is that a good option? My inclination is that she will eat when she is ready, but is six weeks too long, and if not, how long is too long?
