I have two Leucistic texas rats. One is het for albino or something and is alabaster white with big pink bugged out eyes. His brother is the typical blue-eyed guy and I'll tell you what, its the pink buggy eyed one that is the healthier of the two! They come from different Mommas big share a father, are about the same age, were the same size when I bought them. I've housed them the same, fed them the same and loved them the same. For some reason the blue eyed one (Evil is his name because he was REALY nippy when he was young) is a more nervous and easily spooked animal with a tendancy to not eat all his meals. At a year or so old, his brother (Sweetness, though he sometimes insn't) is almost twice his size, robust and would suck a pinky through a straw to get! So if the buggy eyes doesn't affect the health of the animal, and these bugged eyed snakes are happy, healthy and robust, why don't we just look at them like we would another color morph? Or maybe some people have had unhealthy experiences with the bugged out ones? I loved my bugg-eyed snake!
