Yunnanensis are generally smaller than most other beauties though they're still likely to hit the 6 foot mark rather than five in my experience.
Yunnans tend to be fairly aggressive in contrast to the other e.taeniura often staying fairly nervous even when handled regularly. This said, like any other species a lot of it comes down to individuals.
If none of that puts you off - beauty snakes are great - brilliant display animals, very active and with a lot more presence than a corn snake - real power and speed. Another smaller subspecies is the ridleyi - and stunning - but again is still likely to reach six feet or more...
