OK not really (sorry I couldn't resist).
Lynn and I were in the water on Friday and early Saturday. Only to arrive back in New York and hear that 3 shark attacks were reported, I have actually heard that 7 people were injured since then!?! Wow, I am humbled.
The show was good, except as Karl pointed out, I really did not sleep much Friday night as I was excited as a child on his birthday. I had not been to this show since it was in Orlando, and it definately had a different feel.
The quality of animals was high in general, the prices were all over the place though. Well I picked up a couple things that I had planned on with the other party, otherwise I picked up more corns. I put some people on the classifieds on this site to shame, paying $160 for a normal pair of corns which are not quite a yr old...Yes, after my standard quarantine they will join a group of 6 other normal pairs(crazy endless love). They are absolutely stunning already, just as many are in their natural colors. I finally picked up some E.t.ridleyi which should also be a pleasure to watch over the next couple yrs. I saw some great looking other rats, inlcuding prasina, diones, bimacs, rhino's, coxi, and others striking animals. I would like to note the pleasure I found in seeing many different E.bairdi. Pretty neat I thought! Some nice Elaphe obsoleta ssp in general as well.
Also, it was nice to meet some ratsnake enthusiasts for the first time, and to see others again.
All in all, we had a good time.
Jim
