I've had a number of inquiries regarding how the three Elaphe frenata we hatched earlier this year were doing. Thought I'd post an updated pic and a few details for everyone interested.
Thus far, one hatchling eats pinks without hesitation, one stares at them for at least a day before eating and one eats 'brained' ones fairly consistently. Compared to something like pyros or gray-bands, they are not hard at all. All are being kept in very simplistic shoebox type caging.
I hope this helps overcome anyone's fear of working with this specie - they are not that hard!
