: Hi Jim,
: Nice animals!
: I also like the pictures in general. What camera did you use to take the pictures, and if 35mm what lenses and film?
: Also, did you take the pictures outside or in a vivarium? If you did take the pictures in a vivarium, what plants are you using (especially the ones in the bottom picture)?
: Very nice photography!
: Sacha
Hi Sacha,
thank you!
Here is the rundown on the photography. Yes, 35mm SLR, my older Pentax camera. The lens is a Sigma however, one of my better ones, it is a f2.8 105mm macro. The film used was Fuji 100 speed. Those two pics were taken outdoors using an off camera mounted strobe, mounted to a stroboframe, utilizing TTL flash, and manual f-stop setting, probably f11.
The plant in that second pic is Stonecrop Sedum, I am 99% sure, I will have to check with Lynn for the extra 1%. We have it outdoors only, and isnt setup in any vivariums, though it is a very attractive plant.
We do shoot alot of animals indoors as well, using folding tables with plants and backdrops, such as the case with the Corn in the other post.
And of course, we love more than anything, getting out and finding animals, photographing them in their natural habitat, and bringing the images home to share.
When I get a website up, eventually, I look forward to having a pages where we can share many of our herp photos.
Talk to you soon
Jim
