: I had a thought on how to figure out if the sex ratio is normal. There are some people who obtain gravid wild caughts and hatch out these eggs. Now assuming that the problem is with how the eggs are fertilized and not with which eggs hatch, then a clutch fertilized in the wild has a much better chance of reflecting the natural sex ratio of the eggs. If all of the eggs in the clutch hatch out this should give a close approximation of the normal ratio. Is there anyone you know who could provide info on the sex ratio of clutches produced by wild caught gravid females?

Hi John,
I think it a sound idea, but I'm not certain whether any gravid E.p.coxi have actually been collected. I'm going to check with the source though.
Thanks,
Walt
