: : : Adam,
: : : I have to disagree with you. I believe it takes a lot more than a single incident to have an impact on a species' price. If somebody sells a certain snake (or pair) for a very low price to move it fast, it is most likely not on the market for very long and therefore only a small number of people will see the low price. If however, somebody continuosly posts unusually low prices for these animals and keeps that same low pricing on their website, then it would definitely have an impact on the price of that species, and other breeders have a difficult time selling their animals for what they paid for them.

: : Hi Adam,
: : Just for clarification that PE price on coxi was for lone males, accompanied by the statement that the males were offered as pets only, with no promise made or intended of a future female. COXI cannot be purchased for 750 each so my guess is that you wouldn't have to worry about purchasing them at that price as there is ZERO chance of that happening for a very long time. These snakes are still being produced in very small numbers and when you take into account the small clutch sizes and high male counts, the price will remain at a minimum of 3000 per pair for quite some time. I think it is incorrect to suggest that you know these animals can be had for 750 (I realize that you were just making a point) because nobody on the planet (most who paid 4,500 for a reverse trio) would even consider selling them at that price. The purchase of a "pet" lone male would not help the buyer at all if he/she was intent on pairing that snake as no other breeder (also producing low female counts) would be willing or able to match that snake up for the buyer. Coxi are many years away from 750.

: Using your example Adam, I'm afraid that at 750 your E.p.coxi washing machine would consist of two rocks and the use of a small stream.

post, but somehow wound up in a follow up position to his prior post. I apologize.
