: Can anyone tell me what subspecies of taeniura this snake is? I know what it was sold to me as... just curious what it looks like to everyone else.

Ronda,,
This snake looks very much like the ones that are found in the North Thailand-CentralBurma-to maybe south Yunnan China area, commonly refered to as Blue Beauties. They are NOT from Vietnam ! This was a mistake when the first ones were imported and most still believe thats where they are from.
The pattern is very simalar to SOME E. t. Yunnanensis, and there is quite a large variety in color to the so-called Blue Beauty.
As you most likely know the shade of blue can be anything from Bue-bluegrey-slate grey,,whatever... not much for greens or yellows. and there hasn't been enough info or work on these to grant any subspecies status.
Hear your going to be in Daytona,, great.

Rex
curious, what was it sold to you as ?
