: : But, if everyone posted what they had, and what they were selling this forum would turn into a classifieds page. I do on the other hand like to see pics of everyones snakes. Before I buy snakes from someone I usually either read a lot of what they have posted, or have e-mail discussion with them. That way I can, to the best of my knowledge, get background info on the snakes and what interests the breeder has.
: : I am like you as well in the since that I like discussion or positive critiquing.

: Well, ya, but this forum is just for ratsnakes. I mean how many species can you have...40??

: Mostly, people just post about the ones they're most interested in at the time. I'm not worried about it becoming a classifieds. But I hear ya'. I know some could be a little obnoxious if we let them. Hopefully we will all have web pages in the future and just refer everyone to our web sites. Unfortunately, only a few have good sites, so far. I'm working on it.

: Thanks for the post. Together we make it happen...work things out :)

As a newcomer to elaphe breeding, but not breeding in general I think its correct to use the forum for what its made for--the exchange of information, both good and bad! How else besides trial and error can a knowledgeable person get this information other than be a total pain to one individual. I'm also very new to the computer and posting pictures is far beyond my expertise. With a hand from some cooperative colleagues I've managed to let more people know about a morph they may or may not know about or want to see. Otherwise I would have had to send seperate emails to everyone requesting the same pictures.I suggest that you use a "chat room" if your concerned that people are using us for our knowledge. That is what is made for NO??
I apologize if this comes off incorrectly, I'm just thankful that this place exists and would like to get up the speed so I can help others as much as they've helped me. Jeff
