I would assume your leu. Tex. breeders are both het for amelanism. The leucistic line was crossed with the amelanistic line in order to create white snakes with red eyes; i.e. a blizzard corn with a little texas rat attitude. The red-eyed leucistics tend to take on more of a light pinkish colour as adults. Myself I prefer them with the blue/blk eyes. Could be worse, they could be bug-eyed (expolthalmic); a genetic defect that has never really been eliminated altogether. Probably doesn't help that some people even selectively breed for 'bug-eyes.' I guess to each his own. Hope this helps.
