: I just finished building an enclosure for a few snakes I’ll be getting this coming weekend. the problem is, there’s a somewhat strong smell of chemical and wood in the enclosures…. Here’s the specs on the materials.
: Three plywood walls with 4 coats of hard lacquer ( dried for two weeks ) and sliding glass doors. I also used Liquid Nails adhesive in the seams. I have several 3 in. vents in the walls. I really need to know if the smell will toxic to the snakes and if there’s anything I do to eliminate it.
: Please help, I’ll be getting the animals this weekend…
: Byron
I would put the cage outdoors in the sun for about a week, if possible. I believe the fumes will be very unpleasant for your snakes.
