I've had the pleasure of keeping these delightful creatures. Right now I'm not keeping any snakes anymore (I'm still hoping to get a pair of E. mandarina or E. moellendorffi this summer).

You mentioned the easy care for this snake, but don't forget the snake's appearance: E. schrencki is a beautiful snake! From my own experience I know that you just have to see these snakes in person and then you'll be sold...

Add to the easy maintainance and beautiful appearance the extremely pleasant disposition of this snake. Not only are they reluctant to bite, they are also very curious and very active snakes.

Here in the Netherlands E. schrencki is one of the most popular Elaphe species. Offspring from this species is very common on the Dutch snake market.

What more can I say? A beautiful snake with a very pleasant disposition...

Greetings,

Bert Grit
The Netherlands
