I found a female gray ratsnake at my local shop. She's about 3 ft long. The guy I got was new, and didn't know the snake, so he picked it up by grabbing the back of it's neck so it wouldn't bite him. I held the head while he probed it. Then I decided to let go of the poor thing's head to see how her temperment was. She was sweet and calm, despite the previous minutes of being held like that and being probed. I held her for several minutes and she showed no signs of aggession. I've been trying to find out more about them and found only one picture. It was gray and white, as you'd expect a gray rat to be. But the one at the shop has tones of light brown too. Is this normal? The guy at the shop didn't know anything about her. I'm wondering, how long do they get? I don't need any husbandry info on snakes in general, but any advice/pics/links so sites with pics/stories of your gray rat experiences, etc. would be appreciated. Thanks!
