These snake are one of the "no way that's an Elaphe" ratsnakes. I'm sure at some point and time they will fall under another genus. They sometimes come into the country as bimaculata as they look somewhat the same, I guess, if you're shipping them from china and aern't really into snakes.
They will need treatment ASAP if they are wild caught. I never recommend self treating but then again I have a great vet that's close to me. You can look in the herp health forum for more treatment info. They do give live birth (well I'd hope live) and the babies can carry anything the mother had. They also seem to like eating most of the same things a garter snake would eat (the reason for the parasite load) so if you have troubles feeding them try goldfish or something along those lines.
