4 days ago my black rat laid eggs. today some of the eggs have small dents in them. i also have 4 rough green snake eggs and they also have mishapen dents in them but they are full and round now. is it because they are infertile or are they absorbing water and causing this. i wasn't there when she laid them. could she have rolled them over ( i heard this kills them). i can't think of any reason why they would be infertile. about 60% have small to medium dents in them is this normal? they are all the same color still. i am keeping them between 78 degrees at night and 80-85 degrees during the day. i spray them with water once a day. i also suspect that they are guttata x obsoleta. would this be a factor in the hatch rate?
