Walt, thanks for the well wishes! And thank you everyone else! It looks like mother nature took things into her own hands.
Here is the tally:
8 successful new babies fully formed - no problems yet as far as I can tell
2 full term dead in egg babies. I'm not sure if I could have helped these two. I slit these open today since almost all the others have already emerged. I've dealt with full term dead in egg babies before and in my past experience the fluids inside the egg were still 'fluid' (for lack of a better word) when I opened them. With these two the entire contents were already coagulated which leads me to beleive this may have happened sometime in the last two weeks or so. I'd love to hear from you all to see if this makes sense.
3 eggs went bad during the incubation period.
All in all I am very happy things turned out as well as they did. Now I just need to get these bad boys to eat. The fun begins :} !!!
Also, in case anyone cares, we were also fortunate enough to get 6 more double het for hypo/patternless chinese beauties out during the whole rhyno hatching process. Definetly, can't complain about this years productivity.
