Safe-Guard horse wormer is febendazole (or panacur) with a flavoring in a paste. You will have to measure it out though because these tubes are for like 1500 lb horses. One can buy this at almost any feed and/or pet store.
I've just recently found out a way to worm these by injecting the wormer into a frozen/thawed mouse with a needle/syringe. Ofcourse, the paste will have to be watered down slightly to be able to do this..
I wondered myself if this way would actually work, but after I did this with one of my black pakistan cobras, i've noticed she's been a lot more active and a lot more healthier looking.
One of the bad things about just rubbing the paste on the mouse/rat is that the snake won't always eat it after smelling/tasting it all over them...
Well, I hope this helps
: Bill, thanks for the response. Where can I get Panacur exactly? Down here in KY there aren't to many herp. vets. Should I administer it myself? How much does one treatment cost? The person I bought her from said that he coated a mouse in some type of medication, forgot the specific name, and she ate the mouse, thus administering the medication orally. Do you think this could have been Panacur? Thanks again!
