I keep my blue beauty like any other rat snake. He's in a fairly large enclosure long yet tall (arboral! Love to climb!) on care fresh bedding. Large water container and an undertank heater with a low wattage bulb for a hot spot. Don't need it to warm cause he's in my reptile room and it's warm anyway. But they don't need anything special. They are still rat snakes.. very hardy and VERY rewarding snake. Got a bit of an attitude but what beauty snake (much less rat snake!) doesn't? :0) Never attmepted to bite EVER but has a SPARK to him. :0) Very beautiful snake, you will find it definitly rewarding to own one. SO BEAUTIFUL!!! and one of a kind!
Hope I've been of SOME help...
