Thanks Terry, the pic does help, but only to make me more suspecious that the snake in the store is a hybrid. In your pic I can see faint markings on the head. Also, the eyes are less promenent and the head less distinct from the neck.
The snake in question has a solid colored head which is lighter than the body ground color. It has a very distinct "arrowhead" shaped head and the eyes are quite promenent. In otherwords, it looks more like an E obsoleta complex than a corn. I wouldn't have noticed the difference if I hadn't just got my own rat which shares a cage with a similar sized corn. The head shape and eye size and placement, while similar, are noticably different. Guess I'll just have to buy the snake so I can post pics. ;-]
