Radiated Rat Temperaments

I'm thinking about getting a Radiated Rat snake. I haven't had a snake for a pet in many years. Can anyone tell me what the temperaments are for these snakes? There were two young snakes in the cage when the salesman showed me. One just wanted to hide and the other striked at him.
