the babies are gray with black and white details, and then gradually go to the green of the adults.
we keep our animals with the rest of the colubrids, and cycle them the same. the eggs cook for just around 60 days.
they are really quite easy to do, and really spectacular to keep.
i will cut and paste a quick care sheet we send out with our animals here for you : )

PRO EXOTICS (303) 347-0500
QUICKCARE for RHINO RATSNAKES (Elaphe Rhynchophis boulengeri)
Day temps- 72-85 degrees F
Night temps- 68-80 degrees F (not so cool for babies or juvies)
Setup- cypress mulch substrate, hot and cool hide spot, good sized water bowl (for soaking), basking spot of 90 degrees, and being a semi arboreal species, climbing areas (we use cork bark flats and tubes).
Daily care- mist substrate lightly once or twice daily, leaving a moist side and a drier side. Will soak and perch throughout the day. Spot clean as necessary.
Feeding- feed one appropriately sized mouse once a week. Can be shy feeders, typically best results at night.
Notes- these snakes are kept in Pro Exotics coolest room, in the second coolest spot. These guys are completely non aggressive but fragile as babies.
