Hey Zeke, these types of questions are asked a lot and I think people just get tired of answering them. For further reference you can do a search in this forum for these type of questions.
But, to answer your question, you dont need to do anything. Most ratsnakes will shed within about 7 days after their eyes have cleared. Their eyes will get blue then they clear and shedding is eminent. No misting is needed, if it needs it will more than likely soak himself. There is no need to worry, unless it has been a couple weeks. In that case u can put him in a container with a lid with about 1/2 inch of water and leave him over night, this will porbably not be needed.
I feed my snakes on the same day once a week, if the snake is in shed I offer food if it eats fine, if not he just waits till next week.
Good luck, TravisG
: Saved a little 14-inch rat snake a few weeks ago from irate neighbor. Gave her an excellent home. She eats pre-killed pinkies like a trooper. Not a biter at this point. I noticed her eyes were blue covered yesterday. How soon will she start sheding? Basic question is, do I need to "mist" her or anything? She has a nice size water rock, but doesn't seam to be around it any or much. Seams to be staying hid since the other day. It's my first shed with her and I'm not sure what to do, if anything at all. Thanks in advance!
