Hello Andrea:
If you get a nice Everglades they are beautiful snakes. Marcel is right about them being a little skittish when handled though if raised from young animals and handled occasionally, they can be real gentle.
They readily eat either pre-killed or thawed rodents.
Marcel said it all about size. They can easily grow to over 7' in length.
Temperature is not critical for them. Room temp (70's-80's, F) is fine for them. Their cage should include a hide box and climbing branches. I had the opportunity to collect them in the wild and they are arboreal (Tree lovers).
