Reminds me of E. situla, the leopard snakes. Not only a smallish clutch, but also the eggs are pretty elongated. I'm not sure why that happens. It happened once to me with a bimaculata, Chinese twin-spot. It was her first clutch, and she only laid three eggs, but they were large, and elongated. The same spring two other bimacs laid seven and eight eggs. The miniature Eurasian ratsnakes tend to have small clutches, but fairly large eggs...one of the reasons I was surprised when my Korean dione laid twelve eggs.
Keep up the good work. I'm gonna get some of those one day :-)

: this first time breeder female laid four great eggs yesterday, which is always very exciting. the crazy thing about these animals is that the eggs are so humongous!!! they truly are gigantic for her body, i don't know how they do it......
