What to try if not pre-killed mice?

I tried this guy today on a pre-killed mouse. He didn't even glance at it. I have never had a rat snake that wouldn't take pre-killed mice. Granted, I am somewhat a novice. What is the next thing to try? I don't want to feed live mice if I can help it.
