Hi John,
Hopefully what you have actually is a Baird's Rat Snake. I will admit I am not very familiar with neonates or juveniles Baird's, most I have seen have been adults, and as you know are not blotched. However, I recently saw about four sub yearling Baird's (they were born last summer according to the owner) for sale and they looked pretty much like the adults. They had pretty much all adult colration and faint stripes, not blotches. Your's sure does look like an Emori's rat snake to me, and I hope I am wrong about that for your sake.
