How to pre-kill a mouse...

I have heard of freezing and thawing mice or purchasing frozen mice in bulk. My wife has a phobia about mice. There is no way she is going to let me put a mouse in her freezer much less store bulk frozen mice in there. What are other methods? I did actually consider bonking it on the head. Hey! What can I say. That's what Little Bunny Foo Foo did. :-)
