: : Just received my first pair of CB Mandarins, and was curious as to what types of terrarium setups have been working for raising these beauties.. Not too much in the way of literature out there, so figured I'd solicite the opinions of some of the real experts..
: : Thanks, Steve E
: Hi Steve,I raise mine on a mixture of microwaved cypress mulch & aspen bedding, lots of hide boxes with spagnum moss or mulch inside, slightly damp,& I keep the mulch damp, aspen dry,few soaking size waterbowls, remember they are secretive, mostly nocturnal hunters, kept in well ventilated sweater boxes, temps 60's to low 80's,they like small meals like fuzzie mice or rats, see bill gillinghams mandarin section @GREAT VALLEY SERPENTARIUM WEB SITE,hope that helps!
Dave - Thanks for the advice.. I know Bill as he's fairly close to where I reside and have spoken to him at several shows.. Will certainly check out his site..
Thanks again, Steve E
