Occasionally I find Black Rat Snakes in my attic or basement, which I leave in the house because they help keep down the field mice which manage to get in the house all the time. Problem is, sometimes they don't do a good enough job, and I am forced to put poison in the attic to keep the mice under control. I've tried traps, but it is such a mess trying to cope with them this way. Now, I'm concerned that snakes will eat poisoned mice and might suffer ill effects. Do you have
any info on whether snakes eating tainted mice will cause the snakes to become ill or worse, die?
