I have a small black rat, 4 1/2 months old, 16 inches long. He's very friendly, loves to crawl around a lot and his favorite spot is
on top of his wooden hide box. He used to hide inside but in the last 3 months as he's gotten used to me he just relaxes out
in the open. They can be an absolute great snake in temperament and will have no problems being handled. He even allows me
to pet or stroke him while he's laying around. I feed him 2 pinkies every 3 or 4 days but he's in shed mode right now so
he's taking a break. He is growing about an inch a month.
