All I had to do was poke the pinky in the head with an exacto knife and it was lunch time!

Thanks!
RW

: : A co-worker of mine "rescued" one from his sister in laws wrath (she wanted it dead) and brought it to me. If I can get him to eat, I'd like to keep him. He drank some water and I'm letting him rest until tonight when I'll try to feed him.

: : He's got some very small weird lumps on him -- one on his lower lip, one on the underside of the rear part of his head and one a way down his neck. They look sort of like pimples. I have no idea what they could be.

: : I'm also a bit confused about how small he is -- he'll hatchling size, but they don't usually hatch until late summer early fall. Could he be a late hatch from last season recently out of hibernation?

: : Thanks for any help!
: : RW

: : (I'll post pictures of his weird bumps as soon as I can!)

: RW,
: Your fox is probably last years young just out of hibernation. That would account for the skin blisters. Keep it warm and dry and try treating the blisters with peroxide and triple antibiotic ointment. You can email me for more specifics. Good luck. John
