I had an almost 6 foot long female Sonoran Gopher Snake that loved to eat store bought chicken eggs. Unlike The Egg Eating Snake of Africa, my Gopher never regurgitated the shells, she digested the egg shell and all. She would eat about two or three at a time and would probably have eaten a dozen had I let her. I only fed eggs to her every now and then. I figured that mice were a better all round dietary item, but the eggs were a good supplement, especially around breeding time.
