I read the story about the "Gall badder" removal. That is not the problem. Wild caught mandarinas suffer from various infections and parasites and on top of that they are stressed beyond imagination. Our wild caught pair took from 81 to 90 to settle in their captive inviroment and started to bred. If you have time for that, and the money to treat them..... Go ahead but don`t expect success. We have tried twice since then but the animals was beyond survival and many other experienced breeders has tried the same without any success. I remember when 2 very serious German breeders imported 200 moellendoerffi and after ½ a year only 5 female survived. This is only business for very serious breeders with a lot of money and very good time. There are cb`s available in USA. Buy them in stead and save your self a lot of problems.
I am not writing this because I am able to breed mandarinas (F3) and don`t want competition. This is really problemmakers and nearly always money out of the window
